About Us

In His Steps Ballet & performing arts company is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established to engage, explore, and encourage the performing arts. We offer training in drama, music, and dance for individuals interested in becoming part of the community for the performing arts.  (McKinnis, 2009)

We collaborate with individual instructors to offer training for students interested in pursuing the performing arts.

History

For the past decade In His Steps Ballet has provided training to students in ballet and other forms of dance with the focus to “demonstrate God’s love, mercy, and grace.” Our first student began at age threeshe has now celebrated her 13th birthday! It is a blessing to be involved with mentoring young ladies and gentlemen through dance.

We are pleased at this time to announce the launching of a performing arts company that reaches students not only from Cambridge and the local seven county area, but also from communities reaching as far as Washington and Anoka/Hennepin counties. While In His Steps Ballet has been providing training in ballet and other forms of dance, we have also been nurturing students to pursue the performing arts. Thus, a decade later, we have successfully begun our journey and developed a collaborative performing arts company:

 In His Steps Ballet
& performing arts company

In His Steps Ballet & performing arts company’s mission is to “engage, explore, and encourage the performing arts.”  We offer training in drama, music, art, and a wide variety of dance for individuals of all ages interested in becoming part of the performing arts community. We collaborate with individual instructors in the training we offer. We are also collaborative in that we reach beyond the student body of In His Steps Ballet to include performing artists from other communities and studios. One example has been our ability to offer our community the opportunity to enjoy the performing arts through our mini-series events and mini-recitals in Studio A (located within WillowBridge Center in Cambridge). Perhaps you have already been blessed by one of these events.

In addition to our mini-series events, we are proud to announce the production of our first originally created musical ballet: “Beautiful Imperfection” (script by Robyn Fixell and choreography by In His Steps Ballet). This musical ballet will be performed on Friday,  April 29th, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Richard G. Hardy Performing Arts Center. This production will present two years of creative work and planning that includes drama, vocal and instrumental performances, and all forms of dance to tell a story of friendships. You will laugh, cry, and hopefully walk away feeling inspired as you move forward into understanding what “Beautiful Imperfection” means.

Since we are a non-profit organization, we rely on donors like you to support our newly founded In His Steps Ballet & performing arts company. Your donation is tax deductible and will be most appreciated in support of our coming events! Would you consider partnering with us?
